If you dont feel safe in your body you will continue to sabotage
You can diet and work out, depriving yourself along the way of so many things, and IF your body responds to that it wont last long and you wont be happy when you get to your goal anyways
Which just leads to more self punishment and self abuse
That leads to misery and helplessness because you did "all the right things" and thought you knew what you wanted but you dont feel satisfied, which leads to hate and rage at yourself and body and confusion in the mind which leads you down a dark hole.
Then, if you have any trauma or even secondary trauma that says anywhere in your body that "its not safe to be thin, attractive, small, etc" your entire nervous system goes into survival mode
Some gaining back 20+lbs in a week, FOR PROTECTION
but if you are unconscious to that, like I used to be, you will then self abuse and punish more. You will hate your body even more. You will shame even more. You will deprive even more. You will push even more.
It is a viscous cycle
YOU HAVE TO WORK THROUGH THE TRAUMA AND FEEL SAFE
You have to be aware that your body is doing it FOR you
You can work on feeling safe before and as you get to your goal, but this is the ONLY way you can release where your body will feel respected and actually maintain easily
PLUS you and your body will feel great ON the way there. YAY!
That size you think will make you happy, the number on the scale, it is not worth it at all if your body feels unsafe and just leads to more abuse.
Stop forcing your body to do something to make you happy when it is crying and feels like it is dying.
I am honestly past the point if you even believe in what I did or not, or have any belief that you can do it, you just have a choice to make
So what choice are you making today?
The goal weight/size no matter how miserable it is OR healing and feeling safe and then of course being your ideal weight/size?
You know what choice I used to make, and the one I ultimately made just a few years ago, the one I make everyday and it is so fulfilling and pleasurable!
I hope you join me in that choice, but of course I can't make you
I do know though if you are here in my world, there is deep in your soul that desire to have it be joyful for you as well. There is something that sparked when you read my story and see me thriving without the deprivation.
I am here when you choose this for yourself :)
Love always,
